What We Do

A member of our community since 2022, Sarah brings more than a decade of experience in education to RISD, including eight years focused on higher education and the international student experience. Based on the southern coast of Massachusetts, Sarah holds a BA in English and secondary education and an MA in English literature, both from Bridgewater State University. She enjoys everything about the outdoors, including hiking, camping and kayaking, and is a lover of road trips, coffee, reading, plants and yoga. 

A Rhode Island native, Chelsea joined the RISD community in December 2023. She is a first-generation college student, graduating from the University of New Hampshire with dual degrees in psychology and justice studies. Before arriving at RISD, Chelsea worked for several nonprofits focused on Providence-based youth. In her free time, you can find Chelsea at home with her wife and her two cats, playing video games and constantly crafting.

Becky joined RISD’s CSI team in 2022, following three years as an officer in Residence Life. In her role, including her work with the Campus Activities Board, Becky focuses on community building and fostering a sense of belonging among all RISD students. She holds an MEd in higher education from Rutgers University and a BA in adult and organizational development from Temple University. Becky’s interests include singing, coffee, thrifting, cats and DIY projects.

Bringing more than a decade of professional experience to the RISD community, Jade develops and oversees student organizations at RISD, including student leaders of our first-year orientation programs. Much of her work in higher education centers on advancing diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. Jade holds BS and MA degrees in broadcast and cinematic arts from Central Michigan University. A Michigan native, Jade is a proud aunt and Jeopardy! fanatic.

A longtime resident of Bristol, RI, Brenda has been with RISD since 2010, first in Human Resources before transitioning to Student Affairs (now Student Life) in 2021. In her current role with CSI, Brenda aims to enrich students’ experiences at RISD, including as a manager of the student activities budget and by supporting club events. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.

A Pittsburgh, PA native and class of 2021 alum of RISD’s Industrial Design BFA program, Dorian highlights intersections in athletics and design through his creative work. Passionate about basketball, food and art, he also played for the RISD Balls basketball team and now serves as its head coach. Dorian seeks to connect students to the greater RI community and provide opportunities via the Student Fitness Center (SFC) to showcase student talents and interests within the realm of fitness and design.

Kyree is a RISD Illustration alumni from Chicago who focuses on sequential art and animation. His work has appeared in the Chicago Cultural Center and the Black Biennial at the RISD Museum, and has been featured by the Society of Illustrators. After a year on RISD’s fencing team, he explored exercise through boxing and weightlifting. These activities lead to an interest in and strong advocacy for overall mental and physical wellbeing.
