What we do

In Student Success, we support you as you make informed decisions about your academic journey while at RISD. We offer supplemental academic advising and can guide you through academic policies and expectations. Whether you’re considering a leave of absence, returning to RISD after a break, or want more support during major selection or registration, we are here to help.

Student Success Project Manager

Brittany Goodwin

Brittany joined the RISD community in 2012 to build Disability Support Services. Following a brief hiatus from 2019-21 for a position at Dean College working with students with Autism, she returned to RISD as the first student success project manager. An Ohio native, Brittany lives with her partner, daughter, dogs and cats on a produce farm in northern Rhode Island. Her interests include training her therapy dog, reading, and spending time with her family.

CARE Network

The CARE Network provides further assistance and support for students experiencing extenuating circumstances outside your studies.

Registrar

The registrar can help you with academic record access, course registration, and returning to the school following a leave of absence.

Student Financial Services (SFS)

If you need to take a leave of absence from RISD, or withdraw, SFS can help you understand refunds, tuition obligations, and other related financial responsibilities.
