Student Organizations

Black Artists and Designers (BAAD) is a student community and safe space for marginalized students and their allies that aims to educate, inform and promote Blackness and its intersections both on and off RISD campus. 

This organization provides a home away from home for Hong Kong students on College Hill as well as an avenue for people at Brown and RISD to learn more about Hong Kong.

Made up of people with Chinese heritages and/or interest in Chinese culture, RISD CSSA promotes Chinese culture and brings diversity to the RISD community.

KSA brings cultural diversity to campus through events and activities like the Korean Culture Show, group discussions, movie nights, barbecue parties and more.

Mango Street club creates an inclusive space for people from all backgrounds of the Hispanic diaspora regardless of differences. 

RISD NOMAS is a nationally recognized student chapter that brings together underrepresented and minoritized groups within the architecture and design field.

The South Asian Students Association aims to embrace and unite the diversity of South Asian heritage by curating a space for teaching and learning from one another.

RISD Students for Justice in Palestine (RSJP) is part of a national student group movement that believes all struggles for justice and liberation are interconnected and stands in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for liberation.

This Brown University-based Baha'i faith group meets regularly for devotions, study, consultation and social activities.

The Brown-RISD Catholic Community offer students opportunities to encounter Jesus Christ and to broaden their appreciation of their Catholic faith.

Brown-RISD Hillel creates opportunities for students to connect to Judaism and each other. 

BMSA fosters a unified community built upon the Qur’an and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad that is open to all who are Muslim, regardless of degree of practice, or interested in Islam.

College Hill Buddhists for Peace promotes the practice of Nichiren Buddhism and the associated humanistic values of peace, culture and education.

This Protestant Christian fellowship serves the campuses of Brown University and RISD.
